Sending your kid to summer camp? Don’t sweat the packing! Here’s a quick, no-fuss summer camp packing list to make sure they’re ready for fun in the sun. We’ve kept it light and easy—because camp is about making memories, not lugging extra baggage!

Some of our favorite items for camp are below!

Essentials (No-Brainer Stuff):

  • 5–7 T-Shirts – breathable and quick-drying from Amazon Essentials
  • 3–4 Shorts – comfortable and quick-drying from Amazon Essentials
  • 1 Light Jacket for chilly nights
  • 7 Pairs of Underwear – pack extras!
  • 7 Pairs of Socks – pack extras! These have over 60k reviews and we keep coming back to them
  • 1 Swimsuit – one piece basic from Amazon Essentials
  • Towel – fast drying towel that is packable is key
  • Sneakers & Flip-Flops – durable kicks for adventures, and some sneakers you don’t mind if they get dirty
  • Camp Trunk – Home Depot has had the best deal on these recently. Look for Seward Trunks or a plastic one that fits under bunk beds.
  • Camp Trunk Lid Organizer – great for keeping up with little things

Sleep & Comfort:

  • Sleeping Bag or Comforter – cotton is breathable and easy to wash when you get home
  • Travel Pillow (small but cozy)
  • 2 Sets of Pajamas (keep it breezy)
  • Personal Fan – rechargeable

Toiletries (Tiny but Mighty):

  • Toothbrush, Toothpaste, & Floss
  • Travel-Sized Shampoo & Body Wash
  • Sunscreen – SPF 50, kid-safe
  • Bug Spray – non-toxic wipes work great
  • Plastic toiletry caddy – great for leaving in the shower area

Fun Extras:

Pro Tip: Label everything with your kid’s name—Sharpies or stick-on labels save the day! Pack bedding in a mesh laundry bag.
